If you've ever said I can't meditate? or I can't calm my mind? or I feel like I've done all "the work" and I still don't feel alive or I"m stuck" or there is still so much work to be done before I feel free?
In one Breathwork class you can shift all that.
You can connect deeply with the subconscious mind and release stored emotions held in the nervous system through the breath.
Everything you need to live the life you want and be the person you want to be is inside of you, and sometimes you just need help accessing it. Sometimes you need help letting go of the things your body is holding onto.
But, how?
Breathwork is an umbrella term that refers to any sort of controlled breathing meant to influence a person's body, mind and state of being. It connects the head and the heart and lets us get out of our mind so that we can heal from the inside out.
There are many forms of breathwork. The type I utilize at Breathe Galveston is a two step circular breathing technique done while laying on the floor. The participant takes two breaths in- one into the belly and one into the chest and then releases the breathe on the exhale. This is done at your own pace within the comfort of your own body.
Many of us breathe improperly with a shallow restricted breath. When we utilize the full breath and breathe into the belly we calm down the nervous system down as well as bring in more oxygen. We can connect deeply with the subconscious mind and release stored emotions held in the nervous system through the breath. When we release trauma and stuck emotions we can begin to experience true freedom in our lives.
In addition, it can:
Breathwork is done fully clothed lying on the floor while listening to a playlist of specially curated music to motivate, relax and promote the release of emotions. Students are guided through the breathe techniques together. The first part of the class can be challenging, but I make sure to spend time with each student to help them through their experience. After the experience I will guide you through a meditation to help you get grounded in love and process your breathwork session.
Breathwork uses intentional stimulation through music and breath to regulate the nervous system and bring your body back into balance. I create special playlists of music for each breathwork class and session. The playlist is created to motivate, inspire and allow you to release emotions.
While breathwork is an incredible experience, but because of it's intensity it is not for everyone. People with certain medical conditions should refrain from breathwork. They are:
